The Boone Post Office
Founded by Albert Gallatin Boone (grandson of Daniel Boone) during the Pikes Peak Gold Rush in 1859, Boone was first named "Booneville." Boone was the local Indian Agent for the Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes for a while but also served as Boone's first postmaster.
