Henderson Beach State Park

Laughing gulls resting on the sand

Henderson Beach State Park offers 6,000 linear feet of white sugar sand beach fronting on the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Just back from the sandy beach you'll find scrub oaks, sand pines and dune rosemary. The beaches are accessed via boardwalks from the campground and parking areas. There are two large pavilions for groups to picnic and grill. The nature trail offers a children's playground in addition to a glimpse of the coastal dune ecosystem and the wildlife that lives there.

The campground at Henderson Beach State Park offers 60 sites with electric, water and access to heated and air-conditioned bathhouse facilities. The beaches are ADA accessible and beach wheelchairs are available.

Henderson Beach State Park is open from 8 am to sunset every day of the year. The park is located on US Highway 98 just east of Destin.
