Big Lagoon State Park is a 655-acre property between the mainland and Perdido Key on the Gulf of Mexico. Habitats range from saltwater marshes to pine flatwoods to shallow bays and open woodlands. Located along the Intracoastal Waterway, Big Lagoon State Park offers camping, hiking, swimming, sunbathing, fishing, boating and wildlife observation from a three-story observation tower strategically located on the Great Florida Birding Trail. A large part of Perdido Key is incorporated into the Gulf Islands National Seashore.

Big Lagoon State Park is open every day of the year from 8 am to sunset. Big Lagoon State Park is located about ten miles southwest of Pensacola on Gulf Beach Highway.
