Mueller State Park

Located about 3.5 miles south of Divide on State Highway 67, Mueller State Park''s 5,000 acres has about 55 miles of trails for the hiker, biker, horseback rider, cross-country skier, snowshoer and wildlife watcher to enjoy. You'll find mule deer, elk, black bear, coyote, skunk, porcupine and fox in the woods with red-tailed hawks cruising around looking for lunch in the air above. Being on the western slopes of the Pike's Peak section of the Front Range, Mueller State Park has some incredible views out over Park County to the west. There are 132 campsites in Mueller State Park (16 are open for winter camping) and 3 cabins for nightly rentals. Pets on leashes are allowed in the camping and picnic areas but not on the trails.

Atop Big View Overlook is where you'll find the Visitor Center with its exhibits showing off the park's cultural heritage and natural habitats. Right outside the door is the Watchable Wildlife Kiosk, a place where you can get your bearings and sort out what you might like to do and see today...
