Paul M. Grist State Park is a 1,080-acre property centered around a 100-acre lake. The park offers visitors opportunities to swim, fish, boat, hike, picnic and camp. The developed campground is located beside the lake and offers 11 RV-accessible sites with electric, water and sewer hookups. An ADA accessible bathhouse is located nearby.

The park concession rents boats by the hour and by the day (for campers only). Boats are not allowed in the swimming area and swimming is not allowed from the boats.

The lake is stocked with redear sunfish, catfish, bluegill and bass. Electric trolling motors are allowed but no gas motors. The state park does have a boat launch ramp for privately-owned boats. Supplies, tackle and bait are sold at the park office/concession.
