Wyoming's newest scenic byway, the Star Valley Scenic Byway is an 80-mile stretch along US Highway 89. The southern terminus is at the Idaho-Wyoming state line, the northern terminus at the Lincoln-Teton County line in Snake River Canyon on US 26/89, about 9 miles south of Hoback Junction. In between the route crosses over Salt River Pass and passes through the communities of Smoot, Afton, Grover, Thayne, Etna and Alpine as it runs the length of Star Valley.
