Cedar Point National Wildlife Refuge is a 2,445-acre property in the Lake Erie Marsh Region of northwestern Ohio. The largest pool, some 2,000 acres, on the property is the largest contiguous wetlands remaining from the days when the wetlands extended across northwestern Ohio and into northeastern Indiana. The property was donated to the US Fish & Wildlife Service by the owners of the Cedar Point Shooting Club and except for a three-month window in the summer when fishing is allowed in one area, the refuge is closed to the public.
