Loup Loup Ski Bowl
Scene at Loup Loup Ski Bowl
Loup Loup Ski Bowl is a very family and beginner oriented ski area, operated by a non-profit ski education foundation. Because of this, Loup Loup is a recognized "safe ski area" with polite skiers, short lift lines and reasonably priced food in the rustic day lodge cafeteria. The lodge also has a rental/repair shop and offers all levels of downhill and cross-country ski and snowboard lessons with a special emphasis on children's programs.
There is a walk-up tubing hill at the base area and access to about 23 kilometers of cross-country ski trails in season. Washington State Parks offers another 50 km of cross-country ski trails nearby at the South Summit Sno-park.
Loup Loup Ski Bowl is located off Highway 20 between Twisp and Okanogan. At the summit of Loup Loup Pass on Highway 20 turn north on Forest Service Road 42 and go almost 2 miles to the parking lot at the end of the road.
