Like most of Wasatch County, settlers first arrived in the Wallsburg area after the wagon road was completed through Provo Canyon in 1858. By 1880 there were almost 400 people recorded as living in the settlement. Today's population is well down from that.

Wallsburg is an interesting town, politically speaking. The Wallsburg City Recorder has had a problem scheduling filing periods and elections, resulting in a mayor and city council being appointed to serve more than 1 extra two-year term...
