Todd's Market in Minersville
Minersville Post Office
Minersville is located at the junction of Utah Routes 21 and 130, about 18 miles west of Beaver. Officially, the town was settled in 1859, but that's probably when the first prospectors arrived. Several gold, silver and lead mines were established in the area but none of them was ever very big. After going through names like The Farm, Lower Beaver, Grundyville, Cottonwoods and Punkin Center, the settlement was finally registered as Minersville. Some stories say that name was settled on to honor one miner in particular: Grant Prisbey, one of the early settlers who helped in making the survey and plat of the townsite.
