Milan is a suburb on the west side of Grants. For many years it had little growth but has recently been seeing lots of new construction with new houses and service-oriented businesses coming into town. The population is up more than 70% since 2000.

Milan has its own elementary school but middle and high school students are bused to Los Alamitos Middle School and Grants High School in Grants.
