Rifle Falls State Park

Rifle Falls State Park is, of course, centered around Rifle Falls, a cascading triple waterfall that drops in front of some hidden limestone caverns. This is a lush and gorgeous area along East Rifle Creek, northeast of the town of Rifle and several miles northeast of Rifle Gap State Park on Highway 325. Because of the beautiful setting, the falls area is a favorite among picnickers and for weddings. There are 13 drive-in and 7 walk-in campsites at Rifle Falls State Park. In 1998, Colorado State Parks refurbished the park facilities and added new pavement, interpretive signs, picnic tables and increased handicapped access.
