Menefee Peak
Go northeast of Mancos on US 160 for 5 miles, then turn right onto dirt road on top of Mancos Hill. Go 2.5 miles up dirt road to Menefee Mountain.

OPEN: September 1 to May 31
HUNTING: Elk, deer, mountain lion, black bear, turkey, small game
RESTRICTIONS: No motor vehicles off designated roads.

Go 3 miles south of Mancos on CR 41. Property is east of county road.

OPEN: September 1 to February 28

Go 5 miles northeast of Dolores on Highway 145.

RESTRICTIONS: No fishing allowed in rearing ponds; No camping or fires allowed.

Go 5 miles northeast of Mancos on Highway 184, at CR 40 turn and go 4 miles north.

RESTRICTIONS: No camping allowed; No boating allowed that creates a whitewater wake.

Go 21 miles north of Cortez on Highway 491 to CR DD, then go 1 mile east to CR 16, then 3 miles north to access road, then 1.5 miles east to Bradfield Bridge.

RESTRICTIONS: Closed from 1 hour after sunset to 1 hour before sunrise except for fishing; No camping or fires allowed.

Go 10 miles northwest of Mancos on Highway 184, turn south on CR 33 and go 1 mile to access trail, follow access trail 1.5 miles east.

RESTRICTIONS: No camping or fires allowed; No boating allowed that creates a whitewater wake.

Go 9 miles northwest of Mancos on Highway 184.

RESTRICTIONS: Minimum size for smallmouth and largemouth bass is 15"; No camping or fires allowed; No boating allowed that creates a whitewater wake.

Go 3.5 miles east of Cortez on US 160, then turn north on CR 29 and go 1 mile.
HUNTING: Waterfowl
FISHING: Warm water lake
RECREATION: Wildlife observation, picnicking
FACILITIES: Boat ramp, rest rooms
RESTRICTIONS:

  • Minimum size for smallmouth and largemouth bass is 15".
  • No camping or fires allowed.
  • No hunting allowed in inlet from September 30 to January 20 as posted to protect resting waterfowl.
  • No boating allowed that creates a whitewater wake.
  • North shore area closed from March 1 to May 31.
  • Except for fishing, closed from 1 hour after sunset to 1 hour before sunrise.
